Postpartum Shedding Q&A

Hey chica’s, I’ve been getting a to of questions asking if I have experienced any extreme hair loss after giving birth. So I thought I would make a post about Postpartum Shedding. What is Postpartum Shedding? Hair loss after pregnancy is the sudden shedding (sometimes in clumps) that many new mothers experience between three and six months after they give birth. This is a temporary phase. In the normal cycle of hair growth, some hair is lost every day. But during pregnancy the increased levels of estrogen in your body freezes hair in the growing (or “resting”) phase of the cycle. Hair that would normally fall out stays put, resulting in thicker hair. My experience has been pretty good. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I must mention that I am super happy 2016 has ended. It was a difficult year for me, and my family, so I’m super happy its over and gone. YAY! Moving on! This year in the BIG 2017.
